Fun Ways to Choose Your Word of the Year

Did you make New Year’s Resolutions? If so, how’s that working for you? In my last blog post, I talked about how I don’t do resolutions or vision boards but I choose a word of the year instead.

Once I choose a word, I start thinking about how that word will play out. What type of activities would I need to do to live out that word? Sometimes I know automatically and other times, God answers that question for me by providing opportunities.

For example, if your word was Focus, what do you need to change to make that happen? What specific activities do you need to build into your day that will help you start (and finish!) things?

Got a big vision, dream, or mission?

Now, if you have a big dream, mission, or vision, that can be more difficult to picture or plan. I have some creative exercises in this 5-min. video that may help you with this process (Yes, there’s drumming involved but you don’t need a drum to participate.). I also reveal my Word of the Year.
