Scary Things That Hold You Back

Don’t look behind you! No, really, don’t look behind you. You’re not going in that direction. You’re supposed to be moving forward. Except you’re not. Or not as fast as you’d like.

What is it that scares you to death and you’re avoiding like the plague? Maybe it’s doing videos or a Facebook or Instagram Live. Maybe it’s writing that book or recording that CD. Maybe it’s doing interviews or speaking in front of an audience. Maybe it’s setting up a podcast, writing a blog, or starting a Facebook group.

Ok, time for some tough love. I’m most likely way older than you but I’ve managed to do many of those things with absolutely no prior knowledge or training. How? I was determined to figure it out. I knew I had to put myself out there to get noticed and get some brand awareness going.

This took a lot of trial and error. I finally stopped trying to conform to people’s expectations and decided to just be myself. As this Halloween-themed video illustrates, you’ve got to rock what you’ve got! PS: Creating and editing videos was my scary thing way back when. Obviously, I figured it out.

Are you acting?

How about you? Are you playing a part that really doesn’t fit? Costumes are fun at Halloween but when are you going to reveal the real you and step into role and mission that God has designed for you?

Stop procrastinating! Get out there and do the thing! What do you need to figure out? Need help or encouragement? Snag your complimentary strategy session and let’s do this!
